Swami Chinmayananda Quotes:

What you meet in life is Destiny.
How you meet is own free will.

To give maximum happiness to maximum people for maximum time
==========================
The first one is the Mamakaara (how we feel about ourselves, which is usually lower than what we are).
The second is the Ahamkaara (what we project out into the world to cover up the Mamakaara and this is usually higher than what we are at the moment).
The third is the Swa-Anyakaara (how we see others and life).
The fourth is the Anyakaara (how others see us).

Laghu Nyasam - Sanskrit Hymn

This is recited before Rudram (Shiva Pooja). This is the shorter version of Nyasa. This symbolically helps the performer of meditation & pooja to bring divinity inside him. Nyasa is a Sanskrit word which means 'placing', 'stabilizing', 'fixing', 'invoking' or 'stamping' depending upon the context.

Meaning of slokas/stotras:

Akarma:

BG 4.16:
kiṁ karma kim akarmeti kavayo ’pyatra mohitāḥ
tat te karma pravakṣhyāmi yaj jñātvā mokṣhyase ’śhubhāt
What is action and what is inaction? Even the wise are confused in determining this. Now I shall explain to you the secret of action, by knowing which, you may free yourself from material bondage.
BG 4.17:
karmaṇo hyapi boddhavyaṁ boddhavyaṁ cha vikarmaṇaḥ
akarmaṇaśh cha boddhavyaṁ gahanā karmaṇo gatiḥ
You must understand the nature of all three—recommended action, wrong action, and inaction. The truth about these is profound and difficult to understand.
BG 4.18:
karmaṇyakarma yaḥ paśhyed akarmaṇi cha karma yaḥ
sa buddhimān manuṣhyeṣhu sa yuktaḥ kṛitsna-karma-kṛit
Those who see action in inaction and inaction in action are truly wise amongst humans. Although performing all kinds of actions, they are yogis and masters of all their actions.

Prakriti Doing, I am not doing
3.27:
prakrteh kriyamanani
gunaih karmani sarvasah
ahankara-vimudhatma
kartaham iti manyate
13.30:
prakrtyaiva ca karmani
kriyamanani sarvasah
yah pasyati tathatmanam
akartaram sa pasyati

Naishkarma
BG 18.49:
asakta-buddhiḥ sarvatra jitātmā vigata-spṛihaḥ
naiṣhkarmya-siddhiṁ paramāṁ sannyāsenādhigachchhati
Those whose intellect is unattached everywhere, who have mastered the mind, and are free from desires by the practice of renunciation, attain the highest perfection of freedom from action.
BG 3.4:
na karmaṇām anārambhān naiṣhkarmyaṁ puruṣho ’śhnute
na cha sannyasanād eva siddhiṁ samadhigachchhati
One cannot achieve freedom from karmic reactions by merely abstaining from work, nor can one attain perfection of knowledge by mere physical renunciation.

Akarta
BG 4.13:
chātur-varṇyaṁ mayā sṛiṣhṭaṁ guṇa-karma-vibhāgaśhaḥ
tasya kartāram api māṁ viddhyakartāram avyayam
The four categories of occupations were created by Me according to people’s qualities and activities. Although I am the Creator of this system, know Me to be the Non-doer and Eternal.
BG 13.30:
prakṛityaiva cha karmāṇi kriyamāṇāni sarvaśhaḥ
yaḥ paśhyati tathātmānam akartāraṁ sa paśhyati
They alone truly see who understand that all actions (of the body) are performed by material nature, while the embodied soul actually does nothing.
